Riverrun.

It was the ancestral seat of House Tully, Lords of the Riverlands, held by that house for thousands of years. The Tullys had ruled the rich lands about the castle for millennia. In the days of the Andal invasion one Axel Tully had served an Andal warlord and been granted a great tract of land between the Tumblestone and the Red Fork. There, between the two rivers, he raised the red castle that still stood.

The fortress was bounded by water on two sides; on the third, to the west, a great man-made moat could be flooded by opening the sluices whenever attack threatened, turning the castle into an island ringed by water and all but impregnable.
