“XIU—hmmmm—hmm.”

Max Vizsla stood in a T-stance, left foot back and right foot forward, chin raised and chest out, left hand tucked behind his back. With his right hand he ignited his lightsaber, raised the hilt to face level with the blade angled upward, spun a neat flourish, then cut down to the lower right—aligning upper arm, forearm, and blade into a single diagonal line pointing toward the ground.

“XIU—” Max extinguished the blade and returned the saber to his hip. “That’s called the Makashi Salute. It’s the opening form of Form II: Makashi.”
