An army can’t tolerate “little hills”—factionalism. And if the Mandalorian Armed Forces were going to have a hill at all, then it could only be Max Vizsla’s.
With that in mind, Max naturally didn’t agree to Finn Merril’s request. Still, the solution Max offered was one Finn could accept.
Max planned to buy out all assets of the PMC “Ace Mando.” As for Ace Mando’s employees: anyone who wanted to keep working as mercenaries could stay with Ace Mando. Meanwhile, the Mandalorian Armed Forces Navy would form a Fifth Fleet and appoint Finn Merril as its fleet commander. Any Ace Mando employees willing to enlist under Finn would be transferred into the Fifth Fleet.
