Chapter 10

April 8th (Sunday). Discharge day.

Due to a head injury, the initial prognosis was over a month for full recovery. However, thanks to smooth post-surgery progress and Yusuke’s desire to attend his high school entrance ceremony, he was discharged today.

As a VIP room patient on the hospital’s top floor, Yusuke’s presence was kept secret from most patients and staff. Thus, leaving through the main entrance wasn’t an option. Like during the health check-up, he slipped out through the back door under guard supervision. After lunch, past 1 p.m., Yusuke followed Martina, who’d taken time off work, through the back exit. A car awaited in the parking lot, with Kanako and Hitomi holding open the rear doors. Another figure sat in the driver’s seat. A sleek, sturdy-looking black car bore a distinctive emblem: a circle with a thin silver triangle. A Mercedes-Benz, no less. Not only had the male escorts upgraded, but the car had too.
