Koi stood behind the wire mesh of his gun shop. From the display case at his back, he pulled down a Copperhead rifle, slid it across the counter.

“I’ve got a Prelude revolver and a Copperhead rifle. No Nekome, though. That electromagnetic sniper rifle packs too much firepower—the sales on those are tightly controlled.”

The shopkeeper’s words made Allen frown. He hadn’t expected the guns advertised on the wall to be out of stock.
