Chapter 154

“This station has just received two major breaking stories. A Biotechnica research facility out in the Badlands has suffered a massive explosion. According to witnesses on scene, there was no warning—flames suddenly shot into the sky, and the entire complex along with the surrounding mesa was swallowed by smoke. When the haze finally cleared, all that remained was rubble.”

“In other news, the Militech–Arasaka standoff in the Badlands appears to have paused for the moment. However, neither side has withdrawn to their bases. Instead, both forces are still sealing off the routes leading into Night City.”

“Experts and analysts believe the likelihood of open armed conflict remains low, but citizens are advised to prepare for possible shelter-in-place orders.”
