Following the transmission line discovered in the surveillance room, Karl and his team eventually pried open a hatch connected to the rooftop and emerged onto the top floor.

At the edge of the rooftop, they spotted a signal transmitter. The moment they saw it, one of the more experienced team members immediately informed Karl of the device’s origin and function.

“Sir Karl, this is an old-style signal transmitter. It transmits UHF signals over short distances. The signal can’t be intercepted, but it only works within line of sight. That means the receiver is probably somewhere we can physically see from here.”
