Karl did not spend much time dealing with the former Hounds of Hell.

That was because, until there was a way to deal with the group of Hounds still led by Bennett and Gago—and until the faction Hansen had created was formally confirmed to be truly extinct—any loyalty the former Hounds now showed Karl existed only because remnants of the “old regime” were still at large.

Unless Bennett and Gago themselves swore loyalty to Karl, any real attempt to fully unify the Hounds would have to be postponed.
