Early this morning, he’d personally worked with the NCPD to screen the entire site from start to finish. He’d confirmed there were no bombs or hidden explosives anywhere beneath the stage or around it. He’d watched the cordon go up with his own eyes—everyone who crossed that line was strictly vetted, clean background, trustworthy.

And near the stage, he’d placed Special Operations specifically to stop anyone trying to force a breach and assassinate the mayor.
